Context

StreamU is an AI-powered progressive web app that uses text-based transcript video editing and step-by-step AI analysis guidance to reimagine the video editing process.

Strategy

Beginner content creators waste hours editing videos, often with frustrating results.
We took a deep dive into user behavior through qualitative researches to understand the mindset and working habits of video editing. The insights pointed us a clear direction on how to optimize the video editing experience.

Strategy to identify pain points in the user flow

Problem

Research shows that beginner content creators suffer from long hours of video editing (4-6 hours on average) due to the following:

1. Users face a steep learning curve to master skills.
2. Users struggle to post regularly.
3. Video editing tools have complex and intimidating interfaces.
